Puerto Banus is the main event. The marina is lined with superyachts and the surrounding streets have the main bars and clubs. Linekers Bar is the long-standing British-friendly venue that most groups end up in at some point. Tibu is the main large-format club and one of the better on the Costa del Sol. Aqwa Mist on the beach is a beach club that transitions into a night venue.
The drinks prices in Puerto Banus are high. A beer costs £6-10 in most venues. Go in knowing this and build the kitty accordingly.
Marbella Old Town
The old town of Marbella, centred on Plaza de los Naranjos (Orange Square), has a completely different character to Puerto Banus. Tapas bars, Spanish restaurants, a genuinely local atmosphere. Worth an evening or at least a dinner during the weekend as a contrast to the Puerto Banus experience.
